Alzheimer’s centre project
Domov Sue Ryder began building the Centre in 2003. The Alzheimer´s centre is located adjacent to the present facility for seniors. We want to open a unique centre in Prague 4, where a team of professionals will provide entirely specialized residential care, and which will be a base for further education and development of services for elderly people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. There is already a great deal of interest and demand for the planned services.
The Alzheimer´s Center will:
- provide complete residential care to twenty clients and to a further 15
seniors in its day centre, as well as to clients in their own homes - enable families that provide care for afflicted relatives to recover strength and at
the same time provide access to professional information - organize lectures and further education to healthcare professionals and to lobby
for improvements in care for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia
Financing of the project:
A number of companies, foundations, funds and individuals, the
government, the city of Prague and the Prague 4 District Council have financed
the construction work so far.
We are looking for more partners, sponsors and supporters to help us complete the construction and commissioning of the Alzheimer´s Centre. Will you help us to bring a radical change to the care provided for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease?
Your help is very welcome!
