History
1994
In Prague Daniela Nováková met Tom Noel from the English Sue Ryder Foundation and the Sue Ryder Association was established
1996
- first Czech branch of Sue Ryder Foundation was established
- first Sue Ryder charity shop was opened in Prague 4
- beginning of the reconstruction of Michelský dvůr, where Domov Sue Ryder is located
- visit of the Baroness Sue Ryder
- Ivana Plechatá became the director of Domov Sue Ryder
1998
completion of the the first part of reconstruction of Michelský dvůr - December – the ground floor of Domov Sue Ryder was opened and first clients were accepted on ground floor (with a capacity of 21 clients)
1999
- the Sue Ryder Association and Sue Ryder Foundation sign an agreement to run the Domov together
2000
completion of the second part of reconstruction of Michelský Dvůr - first floor of Domov Sue Ryder was opened; number of available places for clients was extended to 56
2002
- public benefit organization - Domov Sue Ryder - became an operation body, starting from 1.1. 2002 ( by transformation from foundation), Association Sue Ryder (the Friends of the Domov Club) remained a supportive organization without employees
- Founders of the operation body: Association Sue Ryder and Pavel Smetana
- Construction of the Alzheimer´s centre was initiated
2004
- Domov Sue Ryder join Sue Ryder's international help programme
2006
Matěj Lejsal became the director of Domov Sue Ryder - last year when Sue Ryder Care in England financially supported Domov Sue Ryders' regular operational expenses
2007
- a new Act on Social Services comes into force, radically changing the Domov's financing system
- Sue Ryder International CZ ( founders: Domov Sue Ryder in Prague and Sue Ryder Care in Great Britain) was registered – all international activities of Domov Sue Ryder, its projects and financing were taken over by the new legal entity
